It was less than two months ago when we last visited Sesame Place for The Count's Halloween Spooktacular event. Right after Halloween, the park closed for a few weeks to get ready for their second installment of ‘A Very Furry Christmas at Sesame Place’ event. You could click on the following link SesamePlace.com for pricing, special event information or park hours.

It was quite warm for outdoor activities, so we dressed our daughter up in an Abby Cadabby hoodie, her Abby Cadabby shoes and not to forget her Elmo backpack.  Upon arrival, our daughter got really excited after seeing a few of her favorite Sesame Street characters Abby Cadabby, Elmo and Cookie Monster

While walking from the parking lot to the park, we saw a lane of colorful Christmas trees that leads to the main gate. After entering the park we noticed the 1-2-3 Christmas tree at the Plaza and the park was decorated for ‘A Very Furry Christmas at Sesame Place’ event. Beside the regular attraction, rides, there are three live action shows, the famous Neighborhood Street Party Christmas Parade and the 1-2-3 Christmas tree music and light show.

We decided to head over to Sesame Studio first for the Elmo’s World Live! Happy Holidays. There were 4 scheduled showings and we arrived a few minutes late and luckily we were still allowed to join. We saw Elmo getting ready for his grand entrance and he even waved to Abby, who was super excited to her favorite Sesame Street character. Elmo is trying to think of an ideal Christmas gift for Dorothy and then discovers about other festive celebrations during this time of year.

'Elmo’s Christmas Wish' is a musical event that features Sesame Street characters dancing and singing classic holiday tunes with a Sesame Street twist. We didn’t get a chance to go to ‘A Sesame Street Christmas’ show but I bet my daughter would have loved it. I suggest you to arrive early for these popular shows, you might be able to sit front row and that will definitely make any kid’s day.

There are many outdoor activities like Ernie’s bed bounce, Nets & Climbs, Monster Maze, Snuffy’s slide that will keep your family busy. If you rather go on rides, I suggest the Sunny Day Carousel, Elmo’s cloud chaser, Flyin’ fish or Peek-a-bug

When it’s time for refueling, you could head over to Cookie’s Cafe, Elmo’s Eatery, or one of the many carts to purchase burgers, salad, soup, hot dogs, kids meals and they even have a Christmas Turkey dinner on the menu at the dine in restaurants. You could also order a 48 Oz (or smaller) souvenir cup filled with hot chocolate. If you’d like to make your meal more memorable, you could treat your kids to a buffet style meal with Elmo & Friends or even have milk and cookies with Santa. Visit the Guest Relations to make reservations for a meal with Elmo & Friends or Santa.

The highlight of our day at Sesame Place was the ‘Neighborhood Street Party Christmas Parade’. Everyone will be jamming to the festive holiday tunes that are being sung by Elmo and his friends. Your kids and even you will definitely be singing along  and dancing to the music and forget about the cold weather.

There are plenty of photo opportunities with your child’s favorite character throughout the park. One interesting place to take a picture is right next to the Monster Rock Theater where you will find Santa’s sleigh that’s loaded with gifts.

After taking a pic on Santa’s sleigh head over to the North Pole An elf will welcome you to Santa’s workshop and even have an opportunity to spend some time with Santa and take a festive picture with him.

I would recommend it to everyone who is looking for some great family fun especially around the holidays. Invite your friends and family with toddlers or young kids to come along and I guarantee they will definitely be aa memorable Christmas event.

Remember to get a map once you enter the park. It has the showtimes of the live action shows, food recommendations, special events information and recommendations.

There is a Groupon deal for ‘A Very Furry Christmas at Sesame Place’ event which could save you up to 50% off regular admission for up to four people.
