National Celibacy Awareness Month- You Are Worth the Wait :)

To contact us Click HERE

The month of June is known for many things , the beginning of Summer , My Birthday (LOL) And National Celibacy Awareness Month

I Always Say "Removing Sex from the equation raises your Value. Not everyone will appreciate that, but the RIGHT ONE will."
Celibacy = abstaining from sex, especially because of religious vows or chastity

"A great way for both single men and women to celebrate their celibacy is by mentoring teens in their church or local community,” suggests Shannon Ethridge, author of the Every Woman’s Battle series. “Teach young people that they don’t need to have sex to be worthy of love. If anything, knowing how to have a healthy relationship without sexual involvement sets them up for faithfulness in future relationships—We all have to learn to say ‘NO’ at some point. You will also help them avoid consequences that can negatively impact their lives such as unplanned pregnancy, STDs, infertility, low self-esteem, etc. As you pour wisdom into impressionable minds and realize what a difference these values could make in their lives, you’ll feel proud that you’ve made the commitment to Celibacy and can be a great role model to others.”

Sex sells, and thus we constantly hear about the so-called ‘benefits’ of having an active, even promiscuous, sex life. However, we never seem to hear about the whole host of benefits that living without sex can bring. Here are just a few of the many benefits of living a sex-free life, whether it is temporary or permanent. We welcome any additions to the list!

The Benefits of Living Without Sex
  • Biblically and spiritually sound .
  • Enjoy feelings of self worth, empowerment and individuality.
  • Socialize with and date the opposite sex without the pressures and awkwardness of negotiating sex.
  • Know that someone loves you for who you are rather than what you can give sexually.
  • Avoid an unexpected or unwanted pregnancy.
  • Avoid catching one of over 20 sexually transmitted infections .
  • Enjoy 100% protection against pregnancy and disease. No birth control method can guarantee against pregnancy or STIs. Every method, including condoms, has a failure rate. In lab tests, condoms fail 3% of the time, and studies show that first year condom users experience a 15% failure rate.
  • Waiting for sex until marriage is likely to increase your chances of a happy and lasting marriage. Studies have shown that people who have sex before marriage have an increased risk of getting divorced.
  • If dating someone who also has the willpower and commitment to stay sexually abstinent, there is the chance to live with your partner before marriage and enjoy the companionship, financial benefits and the knowledge that you are not ‘walking into the unknown’ after tying the knot.
  • Join an increasingly popular choice! Yes, sexual abstinence is becoming increasingly popular. A recent survey by the The Family Education Trust showed that around 85% of under-16s have not had sex, and the number of college students in the USA who say they are virgins has doubled in recent years. Several studies have shown that celibacy is becoming more common, even among those with previous sexual experience.
  • Avoid the heartbreak, regret, anger and emotional turmoil that a failed sexual relationship brings. Avoid giving away something precious, only to be left feeling used and worthless.
  • Learn how to love unconditionally rather than lust. Relationships based on lust are often doomed to fail, since once the lust that held them together has subsided; it leaves behind a void of emptiness. Relationships based on love are more concerned with the unchangeable inner person rather than outer appearances that are changeable over time.
  • Enjoy healthier dating without having to focus on sex. Many couples report that having sex ruined their otherwise strong relationship. They somehow stopped getting to know each other as sex became more and more a focus.
  • Enjoy feeling emotionally healthy and stronger, more able to face the future. Many people use sex as an escape from the disappointments and pain in their lives, only to find that sex brings them more problems than it solves.

Secrets to Finding the Best Restaurants on Vacation
Food, fun and vacation(NEXT STOP, bARBADOS) :)

Ready to hit the road this Summer to see some new sights? Well,  you can’t very well go about doing that on an empty stomach! Food can be what makes the entire trip, but the trick is finding the right places to eat in a city that you have never been to before. We got some tips from Janice Wald Henderson, renowned food and travel journalist, to steal her secrets for finding the best places to eat while on the road.

Local knowledge

Nobody knows better than the locals. They know the best, the worst, the overrated, and the unknown. Don’t be shy! Locals love to share their knowledge because they are proud of their city, so ask them! Henderson gets the bulk of her information from taxi drivers, doormen at hotels, and just people she finds around the city. Her biggest tip is to look for crossovers. If a friend recommends a place, and then the taxi driver says it’s his personal favorite, you know it must be great!

The Real Deal

Yes, you may be a tourist, but you don’t want to eat like one. Give us the good stuff! The real local flavor! So many restaurants in well-traveled cities cater to tourists, and the food loses its originality and traditional flavor. You want to see local food on the menu. First, if you are in a non-English speaking country, check out that menu. If it is written in English instead of in the local language, it’s a sign to pick a new place! Henderson warns us that if it the restaurant promotes the view, the food probably isn’t as good. Go to the restaurant for the food, not the view. Also, stick to the locally obtained food. The closer it is grown or caught, the fresher it is going to be.

Use Your Senses

There is never a better opportunity to trust your instincts than when picking a restaurant. In every city there is a street or area that is filled with rows of restaurants, but the question lies in which one to choose. That’s where your senses come into play. Walk into each restaurant. Look around. If it smells good and looks good, it’s probably good. If every plate you see makes you say “I want to eat that!”, then go for it! According to Henderson, “If your mouth starts to water, it is the right restaurant for you”. If not, move onto the next one.

Mix up your sources

There are a ton of restaurant review sites available online, but they are most beneficial when cross referenced with other sites or opinions. With the Internet and social networks so commonly used, somebody is going to know somebody who lives in the city you are traveling. Explore your sources and ask around! You can even call a local food critic or editor for their opinion. You can get a professional opinion about the restaurants in a specific area.

Father's Day - New Dad Survival Guide

To contact us Click HERE

There are millions of articles on tips for new moms but I think it’s as equally important to provide tips for new dads too. Just like moms, they are new to the process and they need just as much guidance as moms do. Here are a few great tips that I thought would be helpful for that new dad.
Seek Guidance – Before you leave the hospital ask the nurse to show you the basics. They are great teachers. They can show you how to hold the baby, swaddle and bathe the baby. Don’t leave the hospital without asking about anything that may be on your mind.
Be Supportive -Moms emotions are flying all over the place after having a baby. Remain supportive and patient as she works through these new emotions. The best thing for a new dad is just say yes and how may I help? Sit back and wait for a response.
Be Available -Make time with your family a priority. When you look back on your life years from now, you won't regret not having worked longer hours. What you might regret is not having spent more time with your kids. Time spent playing on the floor or watching your baby sleep is time well spent. Enjoy this great excuse to hang around and "do nothing.
Be Smart-Don't say you're babysitting. The mother of your child may be too tired to catch this slip but any woman who has had more than 20 minutes of consecutive sleep is going to do a slow, Chucky-head-turn and hiss "You're not babysitting. You're parenting." Use terms like "Daddy Duty", "On call" .We are just trying to help :)
Take care of yourself. Keep an eye on your driving, your diet, and your risk-taking. Your baby needs you for a long time. Being a healthy and happy dad is one of the greatest gifts you can give to your kids.
Take One Day At A Time – You don’t become a great parent overnight. It takes time and patience. Trust your instincts and learn as you go along.  As time goes on you will get better and better at it. Remember to your child you are their superstar!
Your job at this time is really important. You're the voice of reason, the pillar of strength and the cavalry wrapped in to one. You need to be there for your spouse because she's probably terrified, tired and overwhelmed and the worst time is mostly at night. Mostly.

It takes a great guy to step up and dig in during those first few months, but a guy who says "I'll be home early, I'm bringing dinner and I want to take the baby for a walk as soon as I get home", now that's a Great man.

Happy Father's Day!

Gospel Rapper Trip Lee is one of our favorite christian rappers. His music is so unique and relatable. Trip Lee main purpose is to make Jesus known. Since his first album release, Trip has traveled the world performing for thousands of listeners.  The Christ-centered hip-hop message he brings has also built a platform for him among churches and other Christian organizations, which has led to numerous opportunities to preach and teach at conferences and other events. Trip now resides in Washington, DC with his wife and is finishing his Biblical and Theological Studies degree by distance with Boyce College. He is currently touring, working on his fourth album, blogging (bragonmylord.com) and aiming to author a few New York Times bestsellers.  Trip’s unending desire is to proclaim the grace and beauty of Jesus Christ to anyone that will listen. Gold In The Women's All-Around Gymnastics!

"Life is not easy. You have to fight and just refuse to quit." You have to watch this amazing story of a young girl who left home behind to pursue a dream.
Natalie Hawkins, the mother of Olympic Gymnast Gabby Douglas, found out quickly what it meant to let go. This brave single mother sent her youngest daughter to DesMoines, Iowa - over 3,000 miles away from their home in Virginia Beach. This sacrifice was all in the name of accomplishing a big Olympic dream. But it was not in vain. Gabby went on to place first in Olympic Trails, guaranteeing her the first spot on the USA women's gymnastics team. After her powerful and stellar routines you will find Gabby and her affectionate smile giving glory to God. Congrats Gabby & Go USA!
